  1. Marilyn was a one of a kind woman. Not only was she kind and truly caring, but she loved her work and her students. She was so supportive to me and encouraged me to think deeply about my work. She believed in me and for this I am forever greatful. May she Rest In Peace.

  2. Ms. Johnson was an instructor of mine and boy did I learn from her. She taught me that a true leader leads with compassion and empathy and finds appreciation in helping those who struggle both adults and students and not vilifying them. She has inspired me to pursue educational administration and strive to carry on her legacy. After she always said, ” if people knew better they would do better.” May God bless her and give her family the strength to carry on. I’ll never forget you Ms. Johnson.

  3. Thank you for your teaching, compassion and guidance Ms. Johnson. May your rest peacefully.

  4. Marilyn epitomized elegance and grace. It was an honor to have her as a teacher and mentor. She inspired me to give voice to my opinions and she motivated me to take a leadership role when the opportunity arose. I will always remember her wisdom when it came to the Tyranny of the “or” and the Genius of the “And”. Her positive influence is eternal. May she rest in peace.

  5. We only knew Marilyn for a short time but considered her a close friend. We spent many hours with Amy and Marilyn. You will definitely be missed. Rest in Peace my friend.

  6. I was fortunate enough to have Marilyn as a Professor. She embedded in us the importance of valuing students, and the staff that served our students. Marilyn encouraged us to always bring out the best in others by respecting each individual and being an example to others. I am definitely a better person today because of her. Not only did I learn from her, but because of her I learned about myself and the type of leader I want to be. I will always cherish the lessons I learned and the advice she shared. She was truly a phenomenal woman and I will miss her. May she rest peacefully!
