OBITUARY
It is with heavy hearts that The Schupak Family announces the passing of Eli Schupak, who died peacefully in his home surrounded by family, at the age of ninety eight.
Loving husband to the late Rose Schupak he is survived by his three sons, two daughters in laws, seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. A survivor of the battle of Kharkov, a fearless advocate for human rights, survivor of the infamous Norilsk Gulag, proud Zionist, and proud American. He was an early refusenik caught up in the political purges of the dictator Joseph Stalin, with the conviction that even given the heavy price paid for his advocacy for freedom, he would make the same choice once again. Emigrating to the United states, he was ever proud to work with his hands as a cabinet maker, and small business owner, to provide a future for his family.
We who survive him, will be ever thankful for his tenacity, and for his boundless love and support. hashalóm/ole(ha)shólem. May he at long last Rest In Peace.
