Gerry was the most marvelous person, wife and mother. She exuded love and fostered the most positive feelings in everyone. She will be so very missed! She and Jack are with each other now and forever. She’s at peace! Her spirit will always be with us. Always! Such a light in all our lives!

I had the pleasure of meeting Mrs. Polivy( Geraldine) immediately following the funeral of her husband Jack. It was a stormy night and my family and I arrived from a long car trip. . Geraldine took my hand and started patting it in a very loving warm way and I immediately felt a sense of comfort in a room full of her family and friends most of whom I didn’t know well nor they me. I immediately knew she was a strong and very kind person and it was an honor to be there that day. In the same way it it an honor to be friends with her son Joe who exhibits these same traits. I know she is looking down on this beautiful weather day with pride upon her three wonderful adult children Joe, Gail and Calvin. May happy memories bring her family comfort during the difficult days to come.

Our most heartfelt condolences to Calvin, Gail and Joseph on the loss of their wonderful mother. We loved Cousin Gerry for her kindness and her loving nature. She was so proud of her children and her grandchildren, Johnny, Julia and Daniel. Our hearts go out to her brothers Jack and William and the rest of the family, June and Ronny, Jeffrey, Carol, James and Robert, Lidia, Susan, Debra and Scott. Also Gerry was so proud of Eric, Clara and Allison. May God take all of you under His wing and give you comfort at this time.

There are few blessed couples whose names are never said individually, always said as one. Such was the case with Gerry and Jack. It was always said together…..gerryandjack. And now, once again, they are reunited into each other‘s loving arms. My deepest condolences to all of you, our dear friends, the Polivy‘s. We hold you all in our hearts and prayers today. She will be sorely missed. ❤️🙏❤️🙏
With all of our love,

We first met Gerry & Jack when my childhood friend Terri married Calvin. They were the sweetest, kindest people I’ve had the pleasure of knowing. Over the years we would see each other during the various family events. Children’s birthdays, christenings, graduations, etc. Jerry would always greet you with a smile & she would squeeze my hand as she asked me how we were, what was new.
We celebrated a few Passovers together, sometimes at our house and sometimes at theirs. I was in charge of the chicken soup and she was in charge of the brisket. Those were great times.
I know that Gerry will be missed by many, but she is a peace now reunited with Jack.
Joe, Gail, Calvin, Terri, John, Daniel and Julia we send you our deepest sympathies. I know that you all will miss her but she will live on in all of you and the great memories that you all have of her.
Love,

I had the pleasure of being Geri’s counselor for the last three years. It started off where Geri would try to cancel a lot because “she’s all talked out.” However, when she started to trust me, our sessions became very meaningful. Geri was a delight to talk with and was always asking Ramona to get me a cup of coffee! We enjoyed music together and I found out that she had a terrific sense of humor when she roared at my Bee Gees parody. She took an interest in my personal life, and remembered many details! I grew to love Geri like my own grandmother. I felt connected to her in a special way and was honored when she would share her memories and her life experiences with me. She had the most delightful personality and infectious laugh. I will miss her so much 💔💔💔

I would like to add Calvin’s wife Teri whom I mistakenly left off the list of family that Gerry (and Jack) loved so much. Over the years, Teri has shown the kind of love and devotion to family that we know gave Gerry a great sense of pride. Teri has always included Tony and I in the warmth of family even though we live a bit of distance away. Love to all.
