Michael Orin Grodofsky, 68, of Great Neck, NY, passed away on February 11th, 2024 after fighting a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease.

Michael was born in New York City on February 26, 1955 to Daniel and Ida Grodofsky. After graduating from Columbia High School in 1973, he went on to study at Fairleigh Dickenson University earning a degree in Accounting.

After a number of different jobs and business ventures he started Blue Sky Trailer and Equipment Rental, Inc., a specialty trailer equipment company that rented to the freight industry. That original company morphed into Airport Truck and Trailer Services and is still running trailers to this day.

Michael was pre-deceased by his wife Sherry, and survived by his children, Mellissa Perlmutter (Mike) and Scott Grodofsky and his granddaughter Savanah Perlmutter.

He is also survived by his younger siblings, Mindy Grodofsky-Gilmore, Ethan Grodofsky (Sarina) and Seth Grodofsky (Merav).

Services will be held at The Star of David Memorial Chapel, 1236 Wellwood Ave, West Babylon NY 11704 on Wednesday February 14, 2024 at 12 noon
