OBITUARY

A beloved wife, mother and grandmother – family
was everything to Sandi Ellis. Sandi passed away on April 30th at the age of 74 surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor her legacy.
Sandi, daughter of two dentists and one of four siblings, grew up in New Hyde Park, NY. She was a graduate of Queens College, taught science & math at New Hyde Park Memorial HS, Sewanhaka High School and privately tutored. Her pride in her students, and passion for learning and helping others has touched thousands of lives. Sandi loved meeting new people, and was quick to make friends with anyone lucky enough to cross paths.
Sandi’s life was filled with love, with her dedicated husband of 47 years who was always by her side, two loving children and five grandchildren who brought her the greatest joy. Her enthusiasm toward education, learning, family & Costco was contagious to everyone she met. Sandi is survived by her husband, Brian; son, Jeffrey; daughter, Lori; sisters, Lesley & Marilyn; brother, Michael; five grandchildren, and many cousins, nieces, nephews & friends.
