Memorial Book for Sylvia Gurin

We welcome you to share your memories with us and with those who visit here. You can post to the memorial book by leaving a message at the bottom.

  1. It was my pleasure to know you Sylvia. You got all our jokes and it was always nice be with you.

  2. Thank you Sylvia. You were the center of so many family gatherings across the whole Gurin clan growing up… a tradition that is sadly missing in our lives today. You raised the sweetest, smartest, most well adjusted children. Debbie and I would always look forward to visiting Uncle Nat and Aunt Sylvia’s house. Never a dull moment. You will be missed and always remembered.

  3. I met my Aunt Sylvia when she was about 23 or 24. I was a boy of 8 or 9 and delighted with her visits to our apartment because she was so pretty and happy. She went on to be an excellent wife to my Uncle Nuchie and outstanding mother to her four daughters. I have only good memories of her.

  4. I am only Sandy’s brother in law but I’ll always remember SylvIa treating me like one of her family, even knitting baby clothes for my newborn sons. My wife and I will always have fond memories of her.

  5. My aunt Sylvia was a beautiful woman and a class act. She was a good and loving wife to my Uncle Nat and a wonderful mother to her daughters. Her great joy was the girls and she often was thankful that only ordinary childhood illnesses befell them and, of course, that they were such exemplary women. I was so proud to be flower girl at their wedding. I loved my aunt very much.
