Aaron was committed to helping animals. His most recent foster and adoption is Goose, a sweet, intuitive Pit/Basset mix who loves everyone and brings so much joy. To honor his memory, in lieu of food or flowers, please consider making a donation to Littleshelter.org, Redemptionrescues.org, or your favorite local animal rescue organization or Humane Society. Thank you. The Forwand Family is heartbroken that we are unable to have a memorial service at this time. Due to Covid restrictions and our wish to keep everyone safe, we will have a small ceremony with immediate family and a few close friends. It s our plan to have a Celebration of Life at a later date. We appreciate the hardships this creates for everyone who would like to join us in grieving together.
Notes:
May he find peace
There are no words to express my shock and sadness regarding Aaron’s passing. I am just at a loss. I cannot believe my cousin is gone. I’m so glad that we have had the last 5-6 years especially to reconnect. Even though we did not see each other for years at a time, I always had this special bond with Aaron that time nor miles could take away. I have such a wonderful New York family and I wish we could be closer during this time. May Aaron Rest in Peace and may his/our family find comfort and strength in the days, weeks, months to come. Much Love.
You will always be our Christmas Angel ❤️
What can we say, from the time you were born you were our baby ! When Mom would drop you off on her way to work, you would creep up the steps and climb into bed with Uncle Ronnie, you became our “stinky-poo”. The love and closeness that we share made you very special to us. Penny, Scott and Jamie always considered you their little brother. We always knew if we needed you, you would be there, especially how we did Christmas Eve together — We will always Love You and miss those big bear hugs.
Always be our Christmas Angel.
You will always be our Christmas Angel.
Aaron, my little brother…I am heartbroken to lose you so early.
I still remember your curly brown hair, leading me to nickname you “Bubba,” which you never liked, though it stuck. You had a huge heart for animals. I am giving Goose good scratches and belly rubs. He’s a sweet dog. You were an amazing chef. I still clearly remember all the iterations of Wahoo we had in Bonaire on family vacation! You were so talented. Your passion shone through in your meals for Mom and Dad, Christmas Eve with Aunt Judi and Uncle Ronnie, and your tremendous party you put together at Mom and Dad’s house last summer. (one of many)…Everyone there felt your love through the feast you shared. I so wish I could have been there. I am so glad you were able to find that passion, be successful while you were at it, and continue to share it with everyone around you. Through your share of rough patches, I am so thankful you have been there for Mom and Dad. Cooking for them, helping around the house, bringing them Goose, and being present. Though we have not been close the last several years, you always asked about the kids, sent them cards and gifts. You were a gentle soul. Genuinely caring and affectionate. You showed up when needed. I wish I could have helped you find your way. You brought joy to your parents, family, and friends. I will miss you. We will remember many wonderful times with you, funny stories, and your passion for fishing, cooking, and animals. You have been a loving son and brother. Your memory will live with us always. Namaste, love and eternal peace.

Goose who is pictured below was fostered then adopted by Aaron and our parents from Redemption Rescues. He is a love

Aaron you are and will always be my baby cousin. We grow up very close and shared so many memories through the years I wouldn’t even know where to begin it would go on forever. As kids we created such a special bond and continued it into our adult years. I will miss your great big smile and your awesome bear hugs that you always gave. We loved you so and will miss you deeply.
There are no words adequate enough to express how sad we are to lose Aaron far too early. Aaron, we didn’t spend a lot of time together, but we could feel the love you had for your family when we did get together. We hope you felt our love for you too. RIP sweet cousin.
Sending love and prayers for strength and comfort to the entire family. Wish we could be with you during this difficult time.
