Notes: Judith Ann Rothchild, 86, of Wantagh, NY died peacefully at home on March 28, 2021. A native of Far Rockaway, NY, Judith’s childhood was filled with beach adventures and shenanigans with her brother David. After graduating high school, she worked as a secretary in NYC. But it was upon meeting Allan, the love of her life (and husband of 64 years), that she started her most defining chapter. Judith’s family was her world – and as the young mother of three active children her challenges were real. The loss of her vision created ongoing obstacles, but she continued to walk through her days with determination, grace, and commitment to community. She was the president of the 7-12 Association while her children were in grade school, known throughout Long Island for presenting at school assemblies with her guide dog, an active member of the Temple B’nai Torah and the Sisterhood, and a volunteer at Wednesday Bingo games. She will be remembered for her deep love of family, unstoppable spirit, matzoh ball soup, and uncanny ability to break into a few spirited dance moves when they were most needed. She leaves behind her children Eric, Dennis, Jaimi, Scott, and Carol; her grandchildren Alex (& Felicia), Leah, and Joey; and her great granddaughters Olivia and Camila.
