I’m so sorry I was not able to make the service and tribute to Ron today. I was not close with Ron in school, we traveled different circles. I had the honor and privilege of spending some time with Ron at our reunion and a short time later we met for lunch, which almost turned into dinner. I thoroughly enjoyed our conversation and loved all the stories he told me about his family. He is one proud husband and father. We pledged to meet again very soon.A few months ago, Ron reached out and reminded me about our promise. I agreed and before I could clear the calendar, Ron was in the hospital. When he came home, we texted, and I offered to take him to the doctor. He said he was Ok, thanked me and said he’d see me soon.A big man, with a bigger heart! I offer thoughts and prayers to Rons family and friends.Bill and Fran Blackford
To Ron’s family and friends please accept my sincere condolences on your loss. Ron and I graduated from Plainedge together and although we were not close friends I always enjoyed our brief encounters. He did a great job spearheading our 50th reunion a few years ago for which everyone was grateful for. As Facebook friends I’ve always enjoyed his posts and photos. I’m praying for your peace and comfort during this difficult time. Rest In Peace Ron.
