  5. My condolences to the entire Pottish family. I grew up two doors down from Seth. I remember countless days and nights playing ball on our street Shelter Hill Road. He was way too young. I’m sure he will be missed.

  13. It has been over 25 years since I have seen Seth and his family. I worked for him and his dad for about 9 years. Seth like his dad and the rest of their family were wonderful people. I learned a lot about business and life from working for them. I have such fond memories of those years and how they helped me and my family. My best to their family at this sad time. I will never forget his and his families kindness.

  24. Seth Pottish was one of the first people that I met when I entered this crazy business over 17 years ago. He was a hard working, genuine, likable, and patient man. Through all the years I’ve known him, he had always handled himself like a complete gentleman, respected others, and never ran away from an issue.
    My deepest condolences go out to his family and close friends and he will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him.

  25. Seth was truly a man among men; one of the finest and always a gentleman and friend..some of the happiest memories were in Fire Island, and when he and Abbe moved into our building in Great Neck…my heart goes out to his children, wife and family. I am so sorry for your loss.

  31. Seth and I knew each other for at least twenty five years.
    We both had a lot in common as we were both brought up and worked in our families Millwork businesses.
    We hadn’t spoke or seen each other for awhile, however recently we touched base again a little over a year ago and were closer then ever. Seth was always so pleasant to talk to and we spoke frequently. We met for lunch a few times as well and I always looked forward to this. He was always smiling and so pleasant to spend time with. Unfortunately I never had the opportunity to meet the rest of his family but I would like to send all of the Pottish family my condolences for your tremendous loss. We will all miss Seth dearly!! Thoughts and prayers to your entire family.

  40. I started out being mesmerized by Abe and Claire who are wonderful people. Then they introduced me and my boys to Shelly who you immediately love.I’ll never forget Shelly in the Academy Award dress at the BM. Then down in Florida you meet Seth and Abby and their kids, Brooke and Dillon. The whole family are a delight!
    What a great family! Like everyone I’m shocked and my heart goes to the entire family! I’m just stunned! My wishes are for you all to find some peace and comfort at this time from all the people who love you and will miss Seth.

  49. I was both shocked and greatly saddened to hear of the passing of Seth Pottish. I knew and worked with him for over 30 years and over that time he became a true friend of mine. He always went above and beyond to help myself and others. He had a warm heart and always had a big smile on his face.   51. I am so sad to know that my childhood friend has passed. Seth was a great friend from 7-12th grade. We reconnected 4 years ago. We spoke on the phone in great length as he was on the road. We would chat about everyone we could in our graduating class. Most of all he would share how proud he was of his children and how he adored Abbe. He would tell me his “beautiful” wife and how he just adored her. Abbe, sending hugs and hope to meet you one day. Take care

I fondly remember growing up with Seth in Plainview and playing sports almost every days for many many years, especially basketball with Danny and Paul Friedman (rest his soul) and Kenny Behrman. Also table tennis (aka Ping Pong) in his basement. I’m so glad that I had the opportunity to reconnect with Seth and his sister Shelley a few years ago. Last saw Seth In December 2015 and was looking to continue our journey as long time friends. That won’t happen, but his spirit will live with me forever. God bless his soul and his family.

  55. I didn’t really know Seth, but whenever I saw him at tennis, he had a friendly smile for everyone. He often said hello to me, and my friends even though he didn’t know us. He seemed like a really nice person, I am so very sorry to hear of his passing. My prayers are with his loved ones

  60. So sorry to learn of Seth’s passing. I remember him years ago from HAC. What a sweet, kind man. He was so proud of his beautiful wife and children. He always had a smile on his face! My heart goes out to his wife and children.
