The total cost of the funeral is determined by the specific choices you make regarding the services and merchandise you desire. You can Download our General Price List (GPL).  The Federal Trade Commission requires us to provide this in the format presented and unfortunately, it can be rather confusing. We have tried to simplify the process by listing below the services typically secured by the families we assist.  Remember, you have the right to choose the services and merchandise you desire but you cannot decline our basic arrangements ( professional services) fee. Always feel free to call us with any questions or concerns.

Here is a list of services typically provid for a graveside service:

• Transfer of the deceased to the funeral home
• Topical disinfection dressing and casketing
• Refrigeration
• Basic arrangements fee
• Supervision for the graveside service
• Hearse
• Casket

Please note that our basic arrangements fee of $3,100 may not be declined and that certain choices you make may require that other services be provided to comply with the law (see our GPL for details or contact us). The items listed above total $6,500 when using Star of David Memorial Chapel. Additional costs include the casket selection (see our casket selection) and third-party charges (see below). Please note, if you desire a chapel service, there is an additional fee of $700.

The above pricing excludes the following disbursements to others which will most likely be part of the total cost of the funeral.  We DO NOT mark these costs up but will typically include these on our statement and disburse them on your behalf as a convenience to you so that you can simply make one payment to us as opposed to disbursements to a variety of people. 

Cemetery Charge – to open the grave (anywhere from $1,700-$3,500 depending upon the cemetery and excluding any overtime charges)

Clergy – if you would like for us to arrange for a Rabbi (usually a $700 honorarium is expected)

Death Certificates – each certified copy you wish us to obtain for you costs $10-$20 each depending upon the county of death

Gratuities – which we must disburse to appropriate parties on your behalf (approximately $150)
