OBITUARY

Stephen Rotker, 73, of Seaford, New York, passed away on August 13, 2023 after a prolonged battle with colorectal cancer of the cecum.
Stephen was born on March 14, 1950 to Doris and Walter Rotker in The Bronx, New York. After graduating from Bayside High School, he went on to study communications eventually graduating with a degree from Queens College. He went on to join the Motion Picture Machine Operators union and held various positions at movie theaters, eventually landing in the production department of the BBDO advertising agency. Following his time with BBDO, Stephen became a production stage manager for 30 years with the Metropolitan Museum of Art at the Grace Rainey Rogers auditorium. Stephen was instrumental in producing numerous events from concerts, lectures, graduations, to hosting various state functions; meeting a President or two during his time, not to mention Ringo Starr from his favorite band. Towards the end of his career, he loved giving back to the communications community teach part time at Nassau Community College.

Stephen is survived by his wife of 49 years, Rhonda, his two children Matthew and Franklin, and his four grandchildren, Blake, Aiden, Alexa and Brianna.
